Mongolian media report on the business forum BIRDSHIP joined.

On July 10, MNB, Mongolia's national public broadcaster, reported on the Korea–Mongolia Business Forum at the Ulaanbaatar Hotel, held during President Lee Jae-myung's state visit. Both heads of state attended, and representatives of more than 250 companies took part. BIRDSHIP was among the participants; the report covers the forum as a whole.

What the two presidents called for

President Khurelsukh called for taking cooperation in trade, investment, manufacturing, high technology, and innovation to a new stage. President Lee pointed to joint logistics hubs and cold-chain infrastructure, workforce development and technology exchange — and to cooperation that reaches beyond K-consumer goods such as food, beverages, and cosmetics into finance, healthcare, education, and AI.

The numbers behind the forum

According to the report, Mongolia's national chamber of commerce and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed two memoranda of understanding, and government bodies and companies signed more than 20 documents across critical minerals, energy, geology, trade, food, digital technology, and education. Trade between the two countries reached USD 504 million in 2025.

Where BIRDSHIP fits

Cross-border commerce and AI are both on that agenda. BIRDSHIP's own part in the forum — a live demonstration and an AI-cooperation MOU — is covered in a separate article in this News section.
